Din Paris spre Barcelona via Millau - cel mai inalt pod din lume
Un tur Paris - Barcelona? Cel mai scurt si mai impresionant drum va trece prin orasul Millau - locul cu cel mai inalt pod din lumea asta. E la francezi si ii spune chiar Millau Viaduct. Si-a castigat locul in top gratie celor 343 metri in inaltime (intrecandu-l Turnul Eiffel). Dat in exploatare in 2004, podul este mare gaselnita inginereasca si o rezelovare a problemei traficului greoi pentru sudul Frantei. A fost construit pentru a da senzatia soferilor ca plutesc. Si asta se si intampla cand toata valea raului Tarn (in valea caruia s-a inaltat gigantul) se acopera de nori. E o adevarata mare alpina. Accesul este de 6,19 euro pentru masini si 3,70 euro pentru motociclete (in plin sezon, adica vara).
Opriti-va si in orasesul Millau (22 000 locuitor). E un fost centru de pielarie. Se fabrica si astazi manusi de piele chic (l’Atelier gantier, 21 rue Droite, nu departe de Oficiul turistic Millau). Tot in zona are loc Cupa Mondiala la Deltaplanorism, Cupa Mondiala la Escalada, Cursa celor 100 km, etc.
Pentru a intra pe viaduct, parasiti A75 la iesirea 45 (sortie 45).
